To be frank, you are not going to get a lot of "depth" about git or version control on this site. This site is all about "getting started" with git as your version control system.

But don't worry, there are lots of online resources for learning git & version control. Check out the links below for some good places to begin deepening your understanding. True master of git, however, comes as you use version control as a regular part of your software development.
